MOVIE OF THE WEEK:DEATH RIDES A HORSE

Holy shit. This film is PERFECT. It begs to be remade by a great modern director. Who could play Lee Van Cleef though? While I work my up through the movie industry from lowly grip to producer/director I'll think on it.
Murder, robbery, viscous rapes, and the revenge of a little boy. So enjoyable. Don't steal my idea.

UNTOUCHABLE: ABOVE THE LAW

This is a classic gangsta rap track. It's even on RUTHLESS Records. They had a track on the Grand Theft Auto-San Andreas Soundtrack. It makes you feel like a smokin' a blunt or sippin on a 40 before goin' to harass the Korean grocer or doin a driveby. Good times

BOOK OF THE MONTH: BIG WOODS-THE HUNTING STORIES: WILLIAM FAULKNER

The only good thing about a Mexican stealing your brand new Ipod on your vacation is that you read a lot more. Luckily I brought 8 books with me and read 7 of them.  This was the first....
I had read all of the stories before in other short story collections but they are put together here in a more cohesive novel style, held together by little bits of prose between the stories. They are all about hunting, becoming a man and the progress that eventually destroys the purity and bond between men, dogs, horses and the deer, and bear that they hunt . I cried a couple times, but I cry for everything that I enjoy......amazing descriptions of hunting....and glimpses into a few other eras of Mississipi history.

God created man and He created the world for him to live in and I reckon He created the kind of world He would have wanted to live in if He had been a man--the ground to walk on, the big woods, the trees and the water, and the game to live in it. And maybe He didn't put the desire to hunt and kill game in man but I reckon He knew it was going to be there, that man was going to teach it to himself, since he wasn't quite God himself yet.
WILLIAM FAULKNER,

BASEMENT TAPES: ULTRAMAGNETIC MCs

I think someone from the band released this stuff without permission on an album called 'THE BASEMENT TAPES'. It's super lo-fi and mixed weird. Some of it has retakes right in the middle of the song.....but it's still pretty great. Gotta love Ced Gee when he rapped and  Kool Keiths flow was so on, back when he still gave a fuck. Anyway heres a couple songs I like, I'm kind of surprised that they never got redone and released. I'm sure you can still find the record somewhere or just download the whole thing.

THROW YOUR GASOLINA UP: CLUBANGAZ

This was a whitelabel so I'm not really sure who did this reggaeton mashup but I love spreading misinformation. It was probably a AV8 or CLUBANGAZ by let's say Deejay Mad. But who knows. If you do, let me know......
